it is okay if your pictures don’t look like the photograph. I see too many art majors copy pictures detail for detail and beat themselves up over it because they’re comparing it to someone else who made the perfect replica of a photograph. it took me a really long time to make the realization that I shouldn’t even have to use a photograph and I should feel free when making art. Don’t be confined to a photograph. Reinvent how you love art and no matter what you do, no matter how unrealistic it is, learn your craft and style wisely so the love will shine through.
